iLamps

Have you ever listened to your iPod, but wanted to share your music with your friends? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a source of light there too? Here’s an idea, try an iLamp.

Adesso has come out with a series of six new products called iLamps, patent pending. This is a lamp with a built-in dock to hold, play, and even charge your iPod. It is compatible with iPods, MP3 players, CD players and radios; basically anything with a headphone jack.

The iLamp comes in many different styles. One lamp, the Tunes iLamp, comes with two detachable speakers. There are also 3 different styles of the Architect iLamp including: the Tempo Architect, Boogie Architect, Rock On! Architect, and the Harmony iLamp. Then there is the Boom Box iLamp. These iLamps conceal a 20 LED bulb desk lamp, 2 speakers, and a music cradle. Most of the lamps come in black and white, but a few are in steel and champagne.

The iLamp is designed for work, travel, and just listening to your music. Many places now have CD players for your convenience, but really, who carries around CDs anymore?

The iLamps will be available for shipment in early September. 14% of men and 9% of women own a portable digital audio player. With retail cost less than $100, the iLamp will be a perfect holiday gift for any of these 22 million iPod owners.
